Dentistry

Oral health is a pillar of preventive medicine… and therefore of our philosophy.
Dental diseases are among the most common conditions in dogs and cats: bad breath, gingivitis, pain, tooth loss… They often progress silently, long before any visible signs appear.

Early treatment prevents complications and greatly improves comfort. Our approach is gentle, comprehensive, and prevention-focused, so your companion can keep a healthy mouth for as long as possible.

Dental care

Dental care comprises three essential stages, carried out under monitored anaesthetic for precise, pain-free work.

Steps of dental care:
complete examination of the oral cavity: teeth, gums, mucosa, dental mobility
ultrasonic scaling: removal of tartar above and below the gumline
polishing: smoothing of the enamel to slow down tartar build-up

Good to know:
• periodontal disease is extremely common in both dogs and cats
• it is not related to age, but to dental plaque
• the earlier the treatment, the lower the risk of teeth becoming loose, infected, or requiring extraction
• it can cause pain, bad breath, and even systemic issues (cardiac, renal…) if it progresses

Our approach:
• complete and thorough cleaning
• preventive advice tailored to your animal
• personalised follow-up according to periodontal risk

Dental extractions

When certain teeth are too damaged, loose, or infected, extraction is sometimes the best solution to provide lasting pain relief.

Common indications:
• fractured teeth
• advanced periodontal disease
• infected or painful teeth
• retained baby teeth

What we offer:
• simple and complex extractions
• comprehensive pain management (before, during, and after)
• appropriate antibiotic treatment
• post-operative care and dietary advice

Composite resin dental restoration

Some teeth can be preserved thanks to a composite resin restoration, performed after proper tooth preparation.

Common indications:
• dental wear
• small fractures affecting the enamel or dentine
• structural defects requiring restoration
• protection of a weakened tooth

Advantages:
• preservation of the tooth when extraction is not necessary
• aesthetic and functional restoration
• quick and painless procedure under anaesthesia

Dental X-rays

Dental radiographs are essential to assess what cannot be seen: roots, subgingival lesions, invisible fractures, or internal infections.

They allow us to:
• detect hidden lesions
• assess the condition of the roots and bone
• confirm the need for extraction
• monitor healing after surgery
• establish a precise treatment plan

Our equipment:
• latest-generation high-end dental radiography
• digital sensor for immediate imaging
