The Vétéo Team

Théo Decalf

Veterinary surgeon and founder

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine since 2019, I practised in Belgium, Normandy and finally Switzerland.

I am first and foremost a doctor and general veterinary surgeon, and obtained additional certification in cardiology in 2024-2025.

My favourite areas are general medicine, cardiology, pain management, nutrition and dentistry.

I am a passionate veterinarian doing a passionate job. I value taking the time to be with you and your companions, and above all, taking the time to explain, making every medical procedure clear and easy to understand.

That is why I decided to found Vétéo in 2025: to practise my profession with the greatest freedom, in a setting that truly reflects who I am.

I share my life with Moon, a dog who was once paraplegic and who completed all her rehabilitation in our beautiful Swiss mountains.

Music also holds an essential place in my life. It’s one of the reasons why this building, rooted in the musical history of the 20th century, resonated with me from the very first visit.

Whether we already know each other or you are meeting me for the first time, I will be glad to welcome you and care for your companions.

See you soon!

Irène

Veterinary Nurse

Veterinary Nurse for ten years, I have worked in several clinics in the region, always looking for a place where I could build a strong bond with animals and their families.

I chose this profession out of passion, because animals have always held an important place in my life, especially cats.

More recently, I adopted Lulu after he had been abandoned, a Pomeranian you may meet at the clinic... or rather hear, as he is very talkative! He reminds me every day of the commitment and responsibility that come with having an animal.

I decided to join the Vétéo adventure from the very beginning to take part in creating a clinic that reflects who I am: independent, human, and dedicated to the well-being of animals.

On a daily basis, I enjoy welcoming, reassuring, and making sure your companions' visit to the clinic takes place in an atmosphere of trust. I also like to take the time with animals who may feel stressed about coming to see us.

Outside of work, I am also passionate about cinema, music and dance.

I look forward to welcoming you very soon!

Moon

Vétéo's mascot

Moon is the dog you may occasionally meet in the waiting room. Originally from Réunion Island, she was found wandering under a hedge before being adopted by Théo in 2019.

Following a road traffic accident that occurred after she was frightened by fireworks, Moon suffered a severe fracture of the seventh lumbar vertebra with major displacement. She was left completely paraplegic, with a very poor prognosis for recovery.

A surgical procedure was nevertheless attempted in Normandy by an orthopaedic specialist, followed by many months of rehabilitation carried out by Théo himself, including physiotherapy, laser therapy, a cart and electrostimulation. Against all expectations, Moon gradually regained motor function. After moving to Switzerland, I continued her rehabilitation on a daily basis, through exercises carried out in the magnificent mountains of the region.

Today, her recovery is almost complete. Moon does, however, remain incontinent, so please be aware: if she is very happy to see you, she may sometimes show it in a very spontaneous way.

Lucky

Vétéo's little white fluffball

Lucky (known as Lulu) is the little Pomeranian you may sometimes come across at the clinic... or rather hear. Adopted by Irène in 2024 following an abandonment, he had a difficult start in life.

He developed severe bone problems, first affecting one front leg and, a few years later, the second. He now lives with a surgical pin in his right leg and one bone missing in his left leg!

Irène chose to take responsibility for this little dog to give him a more comfortable life and ensure he received the care he needed.

Despite a sometimes stubborn character and a very strong tendency to express himself through barking, Lucky is a true little ball of love who always ends up melting hearts.

If you happen to see him often enough at the clinic, you might even become friends with him... 😉
